“When I started working on this one I first thought it would belong to the series of the seasons. But as I moved on, it felt more like something that was loose from the Spring and Summer that were already there. It was simply to happy for a painting about Autumn or Winter. So I let that idea go and called it Freshness. It was amazing to work with this new color palette. In the painting I used one of my favorite old tops (that mustard yellow green oooh!) and wool that I found after a painting session with the kids I ‘m teaching art lessons. Sometimes things just happen. Sometimes old things can be recycled and are becoming fresh as new again!”
