“This one’s called September Fields, because I used sketches and photographs made on our van trip in France in September, 2017. From inside our bus I drew the French landscape, no matter what kind of weather it was… If there was no opportunity to stop, I took a photo with my phone. But I got good at making extremely fast sketches! Our plan was to stop to paint, but we kept on driving because the landscape kept inspiring us again and again, and a bit because we  were a bit haunted by rain and wind… We came across hills, mountains, vineyards, lavender fields and we let them all pass by. Back home I collected all the sketches and pictures I had and combined them all into this painting.”
